Rad am Salzburg Ring is a road-cycling event staged on the closed Salzburgring motor circuit near Plainfeld. The programme mixes time-trial and road-race style competitions and recent editions have attracted roughly 550 to 580 participants, but the format remains race-focused rather than gran-fondo-like. Its distinctive feature is the safe closed racetrack environment, which makes it attractive to masters, amateurs and riders wanting a controlled speed test.
